Romance Outlook in 2008 Year of the Earth Rat

Being a Peach Blossom year, lots of people are likely to be lucky with pulling power in 2008. But that’s really not a cause for optimism, at least for everyone. The visual image of the year of the Earth Rat is that of a misty mountain. That suggests a few things: on the one hand, romances in 2008 could be of the flying blind variety – think Titanic before they hit the iceberg, except this is more like flying through thick cloud cover and hitting Kilimanjaro. In short, people get into romances or serious relationships or commitment out of a state of confusion, or despite the fact that the situation is not crystal clear. Drifting into a relationship is a big possibility in 2008 if you’re not careful, or worse, just plain dating someone who you think you know, but you find out you really don’t know at all!

Whilst the Year of the Rat features a general Peach Blossom star (read the star of pulling power), it is a specific Peach Blossom star for individuals who are born in the year of the Goat, Rabbit or Pig OR those who’s Day Master sits on a Pig, Rabbit or Goat.

Peach Blossom isn’t just about love, romance and flings though. This is a typical misinterpretation of Peach Blossom to associate it purely with romance or sexual attraction. Peach Blossom is about ‘attraction’ and as we all know, Attraction can be about many things (everything under the sun, if you’re into The Law of Attraction ala The Secret). Peach Blossom can mean you are likeable, or that people are interested in being close to you, or listening to your ideas, or simply, giving you some attention.

And most of the time, Peach Blossom is only good if you haven’t got too much of it. There is such a thing as having too much attraction! Too much Peach Blossom is a recipe for relationship disasters and emotional roller-coastering – definitely not a desired outcome in any scenario.

As caution is being advocated in 2008 in all aspects, it’s a good idea not to rush into anything. Take things at a glacial pace if you can, and remember, the theme for the year should be ‘GETTING TO KNOW YOU’.

Yes, this article is enlightening! I started a relationship this year; and it has started to become a roller coaster. Although I do believe in making your own destiny–I feel that the stars and energies surrounding an individual have some effect on events.
    Thanks!
