Since we all had such fun with the last pop quiz, I thought I’d put up another one.
Don’t cheat and google the DOB. The chart is that of a Male, the time of birth is NOT ACCURATE so do not consider the Hour Pillar in your assessment.

The question to consider/answer is this: Specifically in regard to the year 2010, what is the likely challenge that this person will face with regards CAREER?
As comments on the forum are moderated, I will not allow any answers that suggest or imply to me in the slightest that googling of the DOB has taken place. (don’t like the rules? play somewhere else)
Some answering tips:
- Do not tell me about the Punishments, Clashes, Harms, Combos etc. I can see them. And so can everyone else. Interactions in a chart do not tell us what will happen, they merely explain why they take place.
- Focus your answer in terms of defining the challenge the person will face. In normal person speak.
- Have fun and participate.
OK, firstly, my analysis is based on the premise that this is a weak Gui water DM that likes to see more water and (maybe) more metal. If this is correct, then:
Incomparison to last year, 2010 does not have much water. So he might not be able to continue having the support that he so needs. However, there will be plenty of direct resource as it is appearing both in his Luck pillar and in 2010. I think that it will be good in that he will find it easier to advance through learning and self development.
Challenges – I guess because Geng is clashing with Jia – his EG, so maybe he might be carried away doing “learning and development” so much that he will tend to be distracted from being thorough and completing his work properly (EG is for execution?).
Oh sorry, Jia is his HO.
Maybe he will have the opportunity to show off the knowledge that he has. Geng chopping Jia will produce sparks, Ding fire, which is $ to Gui DM.
@eiffletower – why is it that everyone is paying no attention to the Branches but only looking at the Stems?
Harm to both Snakes in the chart this year by the Tiger. Direct Wealth is affected, he might lose his job due to wrong action (EG) intending to combine with the Geng in LP and does so in AP. Externally the LP stem countering Ding stem and in destruction with the You shows weakened DW due to destruction below the surface for the branches – a bad period for his company or business. And REn WU month indicates RW combining with his DW on a single pillar coupled with an only one will survive Zi-Wu clash makes for a sharp exit soon if not immediate.

Yes, Zi and You is in Destruction but how quite does that affect DW since You has nothing to do with the DW which is Snake?

Again, you are confusing the DW and IW – Wu (Horse) is not the DW but IW. And no, they are not the same.
You’re using too much IR…try again.
Since B pointed to the branches, a fair bit of Wrong words and wrong responses (HO in tiger) harms (DW in Snakes) made his feet of DM i.e. position shaky, very possibly a high ranking man. Very likely the problem started in Xin Si month when the effect of 3 snakes vs 1 Tiger was aligned with maximum effect. In Geng Zi LP, Friend in Zi affects Xin (IR in You) and resource star makes for his security and comfort zone. Ren in Ren Wu month combines his Ding (IW) into wood too (makes for more output), bad for an already weak DM. Pieced together, incorrect responses may call for his bosses to decide to give him the boot.
@WKNG – not bad. But why so much reliance on the combinations???
Ding + Ren equals more wood in a metalic LP as well as metal vs wood clash year like Geng Yin makes for a year of conflict and chaos for this chart. His Yi wood is also combined with Geng to form Metal supported by his Si-You metal combo branches.
Here are the analysis
a) Geng (resource) at AP & LP combo with MP Yi (EG) to form metal. This indicates his is more emotional this year
b) Yin (EG) at AP come to harm Si (DW) at DP and MP. This concerns his job and his wealth
c) Zi (friends) at LP trying to destroy You (resource) at YP. His friends or colleagues may trigger his action.
He may lose his job which affects his wealth, mostly likely in the month of Chen or Xu.
Why is everyone getting the Eating God (Yi Wood) and HUrting Officer (Jia Wood) completely confused? “Yin (EG) at AP come to harm Si (DW) at DP and MP. This concerns his job and his wealth” – Yin 寅 (Tiger) is NOT EG but HO. And it is not a harm, it is an Ungrateful Punishment. Conclusion is not wrong, but reasoning seems to be less than accurate.
He stands to lose money to the parties he collaborates or work with, from these possibilities:
1. being cheated possibly due to lack of care with contract/agreement
2. poor quality deliverance/performance due to attitude
@psychedelic – perhaps you would like to explain HOW you arrived at your conclusions.
