This year’s British Election will be an interesting one.

Polling day is May 6th, which is a Bing Chen 丙 辰 day. In a Xin Si 辛 巳 month.

And up against each other – Three Xins.

Liberal Democrats leader (and my personal favourite of the lot – he is a dish) – Rt Hon Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrats. Strangely, he doesn’t look as photogenic in his photographs as he does on TV.

There is the thought to be a shoo-in but now looks like be might just be hung in candidate, Rt Hon David Cameron of the Conservative Party:

David Cameron is in the Ren Yin 壬 寅 Luck Pillar.

And then there’s the dour Scottish Presbytarian former Chancellor of the Exchequer turned Desperate PM, Rt Hon Gordon Brown of the Labour Party. Oh, he wasn’t too bad looking before he became all…grumpy and old.

This is a tough one to call on the one hand because all three candidates are Xin. But, this looks like it could also be quite clear cut.

Gordon Brown should probably start hiring movers because it is highly unlikely to be him kissing the Queen’s hand on May 7th. Firstly, his chart is obviously vastly inferior, just on three pillars, to that of David Cameron or Nick Clegg, both who can be considered moderately strong Day Masters. Mr Brown is clearly a Weak Day Master, and his chart is disadvantaged by the presence of the Fu Yin between the Day and the Year. Further in the current Luck Pillar, there is a Fan Yin to the Month (never good to touch the Month) and on top of that, there is a Fu Yin to the Month as well.

Fun. Let’s just say, if Britain was to elected their PM based on BaZi, this guy would be a terrible candidate, since he is going through a terrible year. Also, since Geng Yin is significantly affected this year, there is clearly an indication that supporters themselves are personally conflicted since Geng represents one’s cohorts and supporters and fans. IN other words, even Labour supporters are not sure if they want Gordon Brown to continue on as their leader. So turnout in Labour strongholds may actually be rather poor in this election since the voters who are traditionally pro-Labour, aren’t happy with Labour’s leader. Mr Brown may also end up NOT being Leader of the Opposition either because of this Geng Yin problem.

Finally, Brown is a weak Xin Metal who does not need more of the unfavourable Wealth Element. So this year is definitely not going to be a good luck year for him anyway.

Gordo is a write-off, IMHO.

I’m leaning towards David Cameron and I’m not that inclined (barring something seriously unforeseen in the Hour Pillar, which is possible) to think he will end up in hung Parliament position necessarily. Firstly, he has the Yin Wu Xu 寅 午 戌 combo in his chart, by virtue of his Luck Pillar, and in tandem with the year. That is a very strong and powerful Fire (Direct Officer Combination). In Nick Clegg’s chart, there is a Combination as well – a half Si You Chou 巳 酉 丑 combo. BUT, Cameron’s combo produces Officer (Fire). Clegg’s combo produces Friends (Metal).

Now, at this point, it’s looking good for Cameron. When we’re talking about becoming Primus Inter Pares, Direct Officer is what counts.

BUT, Clegg’s chart also has a Seasonal Fire Combination by virtue of the Snake from the Luck Pillar, and the Horse and Goat in his chart. Together, they make up the Full Season of Fire 巳 午 未. This would seem to throw a spanner in the works.

A Seasonal Combo versus a Three Harmony Combo is probably quite a hard fight to call. This is where the pecking order of Combinations is significant in my view.

Cameron’s Combination is technically almost in sequence (assuming no Tiger in the Hour) – the Dog and Horse are already together in his chart, completed by the Tiger. Clegg’s combo is separated (arguably, interrupted by the Ox) and there is a fighting to Combine situation with the Snake. So I would put less credence on the power of the Seasonal Combo. But it is still significant which means Clegg will likely (and let’s be honest, a fairly seasoned political observer would be able to tell this so I’m not predicting anything unknown) see a rise in popularity and authority/power – which possibly means, the Liberal Democrats will for the first time, become the Her Majesty’s Opposition in Parliament.

But back to David Cameron, barring again, something in the Hour Pillar, David Cameron’s chart shows all his Friends stars (other Xins – which can also be read as his fellow equals jostling for the same position) as inside the Graveyard. They are also under his feet. He is the only Xin that appears in the Stem in his chart (compared to Nick Clegg, who has two Xins in the Stems of his chart).

Xin Metal must not see another Xin Metal. The Glorious One, can only be alone, in glory under the limelight.

ONE ON TOP.

Literally. And theoretically.

And in David Cameron’s chart, right now, all things being equal, he is the only ONE XIN in his chart who shows. And shines.

In Nick Clegg’s chart, he is a Xin Wei, and next to him there is a Xin Chou. And the Xin Chou is closer to the beautiful Officer Star of Bing Wu. Yes, the Xin Wei combines with the Bing Wu perfectly (Heaven and Earth Combination). But the dratted Xin Chou is there to get in the way. So, the Xin Wei WANTS to combine with the Bing Wu, but the Xin Chou is blocking the combination and foiling the ambitions of the Xin Wei.

And who is Xin Chou in this equation? The Rt Hon David Cameron just HAPPENS to be Xin Chou.

Now, it is not always that one can borrow and cross-read charts like that. This is because the cross-reading of charts often requires the use of a very subjective and open to interpretation/debate/discussion/allegations of complete insanity and quackery technique called Affinity. (which by the way, is something of a Metaphysical black hole of sorts, or maybe a better description would be the porn of the Metaphysics world since it tends to operate on a ‘I know it if I see it’ concept).

Typically when trying to discern an Affinity application between two charts, you want to look for more than just one thing in the two charts that suggests you can cross-read the charts (meaning, assume the person in question IS the other person referenced by the chart).  In this case, when you have the ‘surely it cannot be a coincidence‘ situation (ie: there is a Xin Chou in Nick Clegg’s chart, AND it so happens that David Cameron is a Xin Chou) , then you could probably safely read there is a connection.

Final plus point in the Cameron camp – he’s a strong Xin Metal, which means the year is in his favour since Strong DM favours Wealth, Control and Influence.

I’ve called the US election and got it wrong. But I’m gonna call the Brit Election anyway. Cause what’s the fun in doing this if all we do is talk about it behind closed doors?

It’s Cameron. And I don’t think it will be a Hung Parliament. (although, I probably will check QEII’s chart, just to be safe).
